The Cube:
Hi, this is game design VR course project, developed using Unreal Engine 4 by our group of three. The other team members are Linshen Xiao and Youmo Yan. In our VR game, you need to rotate the small cube attached to your VR motion controller so that your can rotate the whole Cube world and find clues to solve the puzzle and run out of this magic Cube world and finally win the game!

Game features:

VR puzzling solving game: A true immersive experience. Players needs to actually rotate, pick up and throw objects to solve the puzzle.

Cubes are everywhere: It’s a cubes’ world and cubes are everywhere in our VR world. The player is born in a large 2x2 Cube and this cube is always align with the small 2x2 cube attached to the left Vive motion controller(in color and position). The player needs to rotate the Cube world by rotating this small cube on the controller. Besides that, to pass our level, the cube item also plays a very important role and the player needs to put it on the right button to pass the level.

Rotate: Only by rotating the whole cube world, the player can find some interesting setups, eg. a button on the wall and the player has to throw the cube item above to press the button.

Gravity: Oh! The cube item may be “locked” inside several walls. Thanks to gravity, the player can rotate the cube world to pour it out.

Cube item reborn: When the cube item is thrown out or accidentally fall out of the cube world, it will automatically reborn.

Original game assets: Most models in the game scenes are all original and created by our team member.
